  2. The double layer CTP plate consists of two distinct layers. The first layer is a thin coating of photopolymer material, which is sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light. The second layer is a substrate or base layer that provides stability and support to the plate.
  3. The process of creating a double layer CTP plate involves exposing it to UV light through a digital imaging system. This exposure selectively hardens the photopolymer material in the areas where the image is present, while the unexposed areas remain soft and soluble.
  4. After exposure, the plate is developed using a chemical solution that removes the unexposed, soft areas of the photopolymer material, leaving behind the hardened image areas. The resulting plate can then be used in the offset printing process.
